Thanks! This is done shooting a 360x180° panorama and then playing around with different projections. In this case the stereographic projection looking at the bottom. It sounds very technically but gets quite simple after making them a few times.

i am thinking about buying the panosaurus -- what would you say in comparison to the Nodal Ninja 3? ... the latter seems a bit sturdier perhaps ...

The NodalNinja is definetely sturdier and more professional. I personally now own a NodalNinja 5 and love it. However it did cost me a fortune and I have to admit it's too expensive. For starters the Panosaurus is a good tool that will produce good results like the NodalNinja and other more expensive pano adapters. Oh and btw my Panosaurus is for sale ATM, so if you don't mind shipping costs... ;)
